The Enchantress and the Floating Mirror

Far above the clouds, there was a floating island. It floated gently in the sky like a big green cloud. On this island lived an enchantress named Lila. She was kind and loved to help the creatures of the island with her magic. One day, Lila found a shiny mirror hidden under a tree. It was not an ordinary mirror. It was enchanted! When Lila looked into it, the mirror could show the true heart of anyone who stood before it. But far away, in a dark castle below, lived a wicked queen. She did not like the mirror. The queen wanted the mirror to see only what she wished, not the truth. So, she sent her shadow birds to steal it. The birds flew up to the island and took the mirror. Lila was sad and wanted to get it back. She flew after the birds using her magic cloak. When she reached the queen’s castle, she saw the queen looking into the mirror. The queen’s face changed! The mirror showed her a lonely woman behind her angry eyes. The queen did not like this. She shouted, “This mirror is broken!” and tried to smash it. Lila stepped inside and said softly, “The mirror is not broken. It shows what we hide inside. You can change who you are if you want.” The queen laughed, “Change? How?” Lila smiled and touched the queen’s hand with a small glowing stone from the mirror. Suddenly, the queen began to transform. Her dark cloak turned bright, and her frown became a smile. The queen’s heart felt warm, and the shadows around her disappeared. She said, “I never knew kindness could feel so good.” The queen gave the enchanted mirror back to Lila and promised to be a good ruler. Lila returned to the floating island, happy. She learned that magic can help people see themselves clearly and that wisdom comes from accepting who we are and choosing to be better.
